The discipline of clinical neuropsychology is strongly interwoven with scientific practice. Neuropsychologists working in a clinical setting are thus scientist-practitioners par excellence. This textbook on clinical neuropsychology consists of three parts: a general introduction (part I) – followed by an overview of the cognitive domains (part II) and the major clinical disorders (part III). In studying clinical disorders the reader will be able to use the knowledge and insights obtained from the first two sections: what is the role of the neuropsychologist in clinical practice? How do the various neurocognitive processes work? And how can this knowledge be employed in treatment strategies? Each chapter concludes with current developments and an outlook into the future.
